In 24 hours Little Lights raised more than $140,000 during our first-ever Giving Day.
On Thursday May, 13th 300 donors came together and helped us exceed our $100,000 goal and unlock the $30,000 in bonus funds put up by our board of directors – making for a grand total of $141,725.
“Little Lights Giving Day is our most important fundraising day of the year where we raise critical funds to support under-resourced children and families in our nation’s capital,” Steve Park, Little Lights’ Executive Director and Founder shared. “We are grateful to all those who donated and shared with others to help us reach and exceed our goal!”
Our big success on Little Lights Giving Day will enable us to continue providing virtual and in-person academic support and family resource programs for students and adults living in public housing, while also providing anti-racism training to members of our community.
We are so thankful for the outpouring of generosity from our donors and friends that made Little Lights Giving Day a big success. Thank you!
