On January 12, we officially launched programs at the Jubilee Center, our new program site in Ward 7! We were excited to welcome more than 40 students to this newly renovated 6,000 square foot space for Homework Club, our afterschool tutoring program.
The Jubilee Center enables Little Lights to expand our work to the neighborhoods in need east of the Anacostia River, creating space for more students and their families to experience the care and support Little Lights provides.
The Jubilee Center was purchased in the summer of 2023 and the certificate of occupancy was issued in December 2025. The Space to Shine Campaign to renovate the Jubilee Center and launch more programs there remains ongoing, but we have surpassed 75% of our $4 million goal.
