Join Us for Self and Community: A Decolonizing Framework Workshop!

Little Lights proudly invites you to participate in an interactive virtual workshop designed to support your exploration of racial critical consciousness on Tuesday, May 16 at 7:30PM via Zoom with Dr. Alex Jun.

Based on the work of Paulo Freire, “critical consciousness” is our ability to become aware of and critically examine social circumstances that cause inequity. Dr. Jun will apply a racial lens prompting us to consider how we detect and problematize race-based oppression and identify areas for growth in decolonization.

To extend this exploration to application, participants will be given ample opportunity to reflect on their individual skill sets, resources, and tools to determine how they can be used in concert with others. This workshop seeks to provide a framework of personal and practical approaches to anti-racism work, through solidarity and in community.

Register for the workshop here.
