The 2025 Little Lights Benefit was a night to remember!

On October 25, Little Lights welcomed 232 guests at St. Francis Hall in Washington, DC for the 2025 Little Lights Benefit. This year, we gathered to celebrate Little Lights’ 30 year anniversary as well as to share about our exciting expansion into a new neighborhood through the Jubilee Center. The Jubilee Center is Little Lights’ new Learning and Resource Center that will open in early 2026 and will enable us to serve 115 additional students and 250 additional adults.
At the Benefit we heard many inspiring and moving stories shared by former and current students. Through a video and a live Q&A time, we heard from five individuals, all of whom have been greatly impacted by the support they received through Little Lights.
Dwaine, who joined Little Lights as a young child in 1997 shared, “Little Lights has opened doors to me for so many different avenues of my life. I probably wouldn’t have gone to the college I went to if not for them. I would not be doing the nonprofit work I do without them. Little Lights is where everything started. Words could never express what this organization means to me.”
Seeing community members flourish and hearing about the transformative impact of Little Lights was not only cause for much celebration, but also an encouragement and inspiration to expand the work of Little Lights through greater investment.
Through the generosity of many, over $210,000 was raised at the Benefit to help increase the reach and expand the impact of Little Lights for decades to come. Thank you to the table hosts, donors, and churches whose generosity is sustaining our work with DC students and families. Also, thank you to our corporate partners and individual sponsors for helping to make the Little Lights Benefit possible.
