Why are you excited to join the Little Lights team?: I am excited to meet all the beautiful people that are a part of Little Lights programs. I am excited to support the uniqueness of Little Lights students, alongside my inspiring team members.
What will you be doing in your new role?: I will be the Program Coordinator at the Hilltop Center, supporting the students in their learning as we get ready to transition to the Jubilee Center.
Rachel Ruffennach
Volunteer and Mentor Coordinator

Fun fact about you: After finishing college, I hiked across the entire state of Colorado!
Why are you excited to join the Little Lights team?: I’m excited to work for an organization that is relationship-based and empowerment-focused.
What will you be doing in your new role?: In this position, I’ll be responsible for recruiting, placing, and supporting incredible volunteers across all of our programs. I’ll also be working alongside Ms. Karmen to help lead and grow our mentoring program.
Jess Wright
Program Assistant (Lutheran Volunteer Corps)

Hometown: Vancouver, WA
Fun fact about you: I draw and collect Zines (self published magazines).
Why are you excited to join the Little Lights team?: I’m joining Little Lights through the Lutheran Volunteer Program and am so excited to be working here in a completely new city. For me, working with Little Lights is giving me an opportunity to work directly with young folks in the community, as well as allowing me to see what it takes behind the scenes to keep programs running.
What will you be doing in your new role?: My role here at Little Lights is to assist with programs and administrative tasks. This includes working directly with students at the Potomac Gardens Center and helping with other program locations when needed.
